I am a design engineer from Wales.

Currently, I am a Member of Design Staff at OpenAI where I sit within the research team and work on coding agents. I have designed features for ChatGPT as well as interfaces to train frontier models, and contributed to GPT-5 and Sora 2. I also occasionally teach design, including at Harvard and the RCA.

In 2024, I founded General Purpose, a design and technology studio that applies frontier intelligence to social and environmental challenges. We have won an XPRIZE and published research featured in GPT-4o.

Previously, I worked on general-purpose robotics at Google X, and advised governments on AI and creative industries.

I am also a musician and have composed for shows performed in on- and off- West End theatres, and written for bands with international airplay. I still play (when I can find time).
